Goldvale is a province of Urcea. It is located in the north-center of the country in the region known as the Valley, though it retains some cultural influences from the Ionian Plateau, which it borders.
Goldvale is one of Urcea's most productive agricultural provinces.

Goldvale heavily leans towards the Solidarity Party, though it was considered more of a tossup province until the mid-2020s. In Goldvale, Solidarity is generally a coalition of the old local Julian Party, strongest here than anywhere else outside the Ionian Plateau, with guild-associated farm laborers and other non-Julian monarchists. As such, the party won 10 of the 12 Concilium Daoni seats in the 2025 Urcean elections, with only the southwestern two Daoni seats voting for a different party. The area making up the extreme southwest of Goldvale is considered part of the extended Urceopolis suburbs, with voters there overwhelmingly supporting the National Pact, though the Pact also remains competitive in the slightly suburban Daoni districts to its north and east. Also in the southwest but north of the primary Pact-leaning district is the cathedral city of Aquae Sextiae, which has historically leaned further left than the rest of the province due to a strong industrial legacy and powerful industrial guilds. The Social Labor Party won the Daoni seat containing Aquae Sextiae as recently as 2025. In the 2030 Urcean elections, Solidarity's Livio Iarnán defeated the Pact candidate 59% to 40%, likely consolidating Solidarity and left wing voters while the Pact's candidate had a reasonably strong showing in those suburban portions of the province.
