The Sea of Capelan is a body of water to the northeast of Audonia. It is a constituent sea of the Levantine Ocean and touches both it and the northern stretches of the Great Expanse

Etymology

Internationally known as the Sea of Capelan, named after a Burgoignesc explorer Samuel-Emmanuel Brouage de Capelan who was the first occidental to chart the northern Audonian coast. The Cart de Capelan was first published in 1527. In retrospect it was a terrible map, it was much less accurate than those created by explorers from the Oduniyyad Caliphate.

Around 1570 it is noted that maps sold under the name Cart de Capelan appeared to be Odoniyyad maps with Latin annotations, but with sea monsters and dragons, because they are occidentals.

In the Danehonger language, the sea is called Nuoklun, which roughly translates to the Great Water.
