The '''Office of the Treasury''' is one of the eight major agencies of the [[Faneria|Fhainnin]] bureaucracy, and manages the national mint and tax collection services. It was founded in 1907 as one of the earliest bodies of the [[Faneria|Fhainnin Popular Republic]]. Its creation, at the time, was simply as a tax collection agency to allow the setup of a proper government in liberated territories under the Republican government during the [[Fhainnin Civil War]], after which it took over the responsibilities of minting currency and legal documents, as well as providing some internal banking services for the government and public employees. | |||
