Cartadania, officially known as the Federative Republic of Cartadania (Cartadanian: República Federativa da Cartadania), is a sovereign country located on the Caridon Peninsula of Sarpedon, with territories spanning across the globe. Bordered by Caphiria along its only land borders, the country has an area of 4,122,251 square kilometers (1,591,610 sq mi), making it the fifth-largest nation in the world. With a population of approximately 378 million people, it is the second-most populous nation in Sarpedon and ninth worldwide. Cartadania's largely tropical climate features Mediterranean zones, particularly in the sheltered bays, which are tempered by cooler coastal currents, tributaries, and the Carina Bay. In addition to its mainland territories, Cartadania also includes insular areas near Crona, such as the state of Solemia, and Polynesia, including the state of Lotoa, as well as Alshar, with the territory of Haujão. The country also has territories in Sarpedon, including Providência, Santa Domenica, and Santa Elena.

Cartadania is a high-income, highly developed country that owes its success to a robust mixed economy and strong economic growth over the years. Its large size has allowed it to maintain stability in the region, and its citizens enjoy a very high level of human development, including the second-longest life expectancy in the world, surpassed only by Burgundie. Cartadania is a major player in global economic, military, cultural, and diplomatic affairs, and is widely considered a global power. As of 2032, the country's economy is the fourth-largest in the world by both nominal GDP and GDP (PPP), with a total value of approximately $28.5 trillion. The country's economy is also one of the world's fastest-growing major economies, due in large part to reduced barriers to entry in the economy and relaxing tax laws. The national development bank of Cartadania plays an essential role in the country's economic growth, and its diplomatic outreach and support programs to help emerging and young economies have earned it worldwide recognition.

Cartadania has played a key role in the formation and membership of various international organizations, including ARGUS, the Community of Lusophone Nations, the League of Nations, and the Union of Sarpedonian States. Additionally, the country was also a member of the now-defunct Levantia and Odoneru Treaty Association. As a great power in Sarpedon, Cartadania asserts its global influence and is viewed by some analysts as having the potential to attain superpower status in the future. Moreover, Cartadania is renowned as a major breadbasket, being a leading producer of crops such as coffee, oranges, and sugarcane, particularly in its more agrarian south. In fact, the country has held the title of the world's largest coffee producer for at least the past 270 years. These agricultural industries have played a significant role in the country's economic growth and international trade relationships.

Cartadania's diverse cultural heritage reflects influences from various groups, including indigenous peoples, Latin settlers, Taínean migrants, and immigrants from Crona and the Polynesian Sea. This has resulted in one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse countries in the world at the personal level, while still maintaining a distinctive national identity overall. As one of the world's 17 megadiverse countries, Cartadania boasts a rich biodiversity, with its territory encompassing the Satherian rainforest, tropical grassland, and coastlines along several major seas as well as high-altitude areas with markedly cooler climates. Its dense biodiversity makes it one of the most biodiverse countries per square kilometer in the world. (Full article...)

The Verona Everglades National Park is a Cartadanian national park in the southwestern Pantanal of Verona. The park was established on 1 July 1793 to protect 7,148,201 acres (11,169 sq mi; 2,892,774 ha; 28,928 km2) of forested and wetland terrain. The park is east of, and contiguous with, Santiago Pantanal National Park; both parks are administered by the Department of Environmental Integrity together as the Greater Luson Pantanal Region. UNESCO designated the areas as Pantanal-Everglades Biosphere Reserve in 1991.

The park is notable for its yellow meranti trees, the tallest tropical tree species on the planet. The tallest known tree, named Tavara, grows in the Lahera Forest's Meranti Glade, which contains three of the ten largest trees in the world. The Lahera Forest is connected by Verona State Highway 301 to Santiago Pantanal National Park's Elder Grove (where it becomes Santiago State Route 620), home to many other giant meranti trees. The parks preserve a landscape that still resembles the pantanal before Caphirian settlement. (Full article...)

This is a Good article, an article that meets a core set of high editorial standards.

The Spitzer class of guided missile destroyers (DDGs) is a Cartadanian Navy class of destroyer built around the Prometheus combat system and the ATLAS multi-function active electronically scanned array radar. The class is named for Admiral Uriah Spitzer, a Cartadanian destroyer officer during the Second Great War. The vessels were built by Cartadanian shipbuilder Valorica Marine between Santária, Siena at Valorica's Santária Yards and Valorica, Triessa at it's Valorica Shipbuilding, with the lead ship of the class named for Admiral Spitzer himself.

In 2030, the Cartadanian Navy unveiled its strategic blueprint, outlining the integration of the advanced Stellara-class destroyers to complement the existing Spitzer-class vessels. Distinguished by a longer profile, augmented displacement, and refined design, the Stellara-class employs a sleeker configuration with a more slender beam and reduced draft. Notably, these new additions incorporate certain shared technological advancements while also serving as the evolutionary step forward from the esteemed Spitzer class. The Spitzer class, rooted in the foundational technologies introduced during the laying of its inaugural ship in 2018, marked an enduring cornerstone that has propelled successive modernizations which have evolved into the now under construction Stellara.
