Royal palaces around the world
Royal palaces include palaces, castles and houses owned by a member of a royal family, or owned by their state for purposes of allowing members of the royal family to reside there. Some royal palaces may no longer be used as residences, often becoming offices for a government legislature, or may see only irregular use when visiting certain regions, for example. Buildings formerly used as royal palaces are also included here, even if their host countries no longer have a monarch.
