Project Valhalla
Concept program to make Burg Paras more deadlier at night. 1942-1954 Sintalian silk jumpsuits, Rexfort De’Montangel to legislature “$1000 shirts but muh suberterfuge” calf-skin jump boots. Radium painted night sights, watches, and thread for the Burgundian saltire. Scapula cancer goes up. Myth that Burg paras do more damage through latent radiation then combat. This is why there isn’t a nuclear weapons program in Burgundie. Invested millions in rip-stop silk.

History
Rugby d’Elan started in 1976 based on an advertising pitch by Caphirian firm looking to capitalize on the disruptive The Great Tumult. The House of Elan brand was decidedly “establishment” and the new brand was meant to be “shabby chic” and appeal to a rebellious youth who still sought their parents approval. The new line was slow to catch on but by 1981 had hit its stride. Finding its audience it become the most pervasive high end retail apparel in Burgundie. Following warmer relations the brand opened in the Kiraviaian, Faneriai, Fiannriai, and Urcean markets in the 1990s. In the early 2000s the brand jumped to Caphiria by way of Burgundian expats in Malta. It was eventually pulled in the 2004 Burgundian recession, but it’s assets were bought and a permutation is still sold there as NorthSeaThreads.
2031 Season
After the first game of the 2031 Community Cup, the Monteangeline team was observed to sport a clever looking trainer. The shoes were a viral sensation on social media and a number of companies scrambled to bring a version of their own to market. Elfiebeth Sourel-Cardbœuf, the lead footwear designer, noticed the growing storm of interest on social media. Xe immediately set xer team about designing a runway version of the shoe. The gum was to be fair trade, organic, and hand tapped in the deep rubber forests of Puhkgundi, welted to sueded chamois uppers sustainably sourced from wild chamois goats in upper Hoheseen, Flordeterra. These runway models were debuted at the House’s Summer/Fall Fashion Reveal at Adenborough Fashion Week on March 23rd. A “common market” variant was designed for the Rugby d’Elan line with a synthetic gum sole, glued to a sueded calfskin upper, retailing at $215. Not being an athletic shoe, care was taken to add a thin layer of breathable foam to the sole to make it even more comfortable. The shoe marketed as the MAT (Monteangeline Trainer), comes in a variety of earth tones and pastels, to match the existing Rugby d’Elan pallet. A special run of shoes was manufactured with appliqué themes typical to the Rugby-fashion aesthetic (eg whales, lobsters, crossed sporting equipment).
