The 12 Labors of Heracles are named after the {{wpl|Labours of Hercules|myth}} of the same name that detail the trials and travails of the [[Istroyan]] demi-god {{wpl|Heracles}}, known by his Latin name Hercules to much of the world. It symbolizes the completion of secondary education in [[Burgundie]] and the transition to adulthood.
 
At the conclusion of 12 months of service (typically September-September) a certificate is presented to the person who then takes it to the local election board who initiates the citizenship process. After the application for citizenship is processed, typically 3 months due to volume of applications around the same time, the applicant is mailed their citizenship papers, a voter registration identification, and a reissued passport with their citizenship status updated.
 
Each March 15th there is a national celebration called The Feast of the New Nation and those who completed the 12 Labors of Heracles the previous year and received their citizenship are feted and paraded and the whole town or county gather to celebrate.
