The 12 Labors of Heracles are the 12 months of service required to become a citizen of Burgundie. It is traditionally done via the Standardized Militia program, but was expanded in 2028 by Crown Princess Amelia to include service in local government, hospitals, social work/mental health foundations, or Catholic charities as part of her 21st Century Burgoignesc Power Projection Stratagem.
The 12 Labors of Heracles are named after the myth of the same name that detail the trials and travails of the Istroyan demi-god Heracles, known by his Latin name Hercules to much of the world. It symbolizes the completion of secondary education in Burgundie and the transition to adulthood.
