Burgundie's Total Economic Engagement (TEE) strategy was devised in the aftermath of Operation Kipling to build national strength through resilient regional economies. Instead of a top-down approach, TEE empowers each Burgoignesc province to determine their own maximum economic potential and then the national and constituent country government invests in achieving that potential. The key principle is finding ways for every working-age person to contribute, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or background. Public programs, education initiatives, and private partnerships play a crucial role in skill development and ensuring everyone has the opportunity and motivation to engage in the economy. TEE goes beyond mere participation, actively dismantling barriers like gender inequality and institutional racism to create a truly inclusive playing field. Recognizing the long-term impact, investments in equal rights, preventative healthcare, high-quality education, and dismantling systemic barriers are seen as pillars of economic empowerment and therefore are key foci for the government. Measuring success goes beyond traditional economic metrics, incorporating factors like regional well-being and social indicators. Equity is seen not as an issue of the rights of the individual but rather as an economic imperative of the state to ensure that every Burgoigniac is contributing their maximum potential to the Economy of Burgundie.
The goal of TEE should be more resilient regionally focused economies, with the perspective that if each region has a healthy, robust, and resilient economy, then the nation will have the same, as a sum of its parts. The goal of the government to reach this goal should be to find ways for every working age person to contribute to the economy. It therefore offers public programs to support skills training, education initiatives and incentives, and also partnerships with the private sector to ensure that not only does everyone have an opportunity to engage in the economy but that they are taking advantage of that opportunity. From the perspective of the government, everyone should make a taxable income, so it is the government to remove any barriers to entry for working age people to engage in the economy, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or background. This means that to the government of Burgundie, equal rights, preventative healthcare, high quality education, the dismantling of institutional racism are all key government foci to ensure TEE.
Role of the national government
Collaboration is led by the Ministry of the Interior's Department of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Government whose job it is to find government or private sector funding, support, or programs for the needs of the province that they liaison with.
