| The core cultural values the Burgoignacs are known for are a radical adherence to the value of labor, self sufficiency, and a seemingly terse or curt way of interacting. This is attributed to the presence and dominance of the {{wpl|Cistercians|Cistercian}} and {{wpl|Trappsits|Trappist}} orders of monks having cast a long shadow on the coastal areas of the former [[Kingdom of Latium]]. This gives Burgoignesc cultural elements commonly associated with some more northern and Protestant realms. That it is an religio-socio-economic anomaly is a source of pride for the Burgoignac who toils in the sweltering heat. This strong sense of exceptionalism and self identify has had a broad impact on the way Burgoignacs interact with the world. There is no more impactful a place than in the area of immigration. In the 1640s the oligarchy became more transparent and started a number of permanent literary and scientific academies, most notably [[Universitas Magistrorum]] in Burgundie, _________ in [[Heku]], [[Valēka#Universities|Universitas Codicis]] in [[Kiravia]], and Farpoint University in [[Pauldustllah]]. In the 18th and 19th century the OG was a driver in Enlightenment thought in Northern [[Levantia]] and [[Kiravia]] but its members suppressed the liberal ideals in [[Heku]] and [[Pauldustllah]].
